Measuring impact
At The Outcome, we help non-profits, social enterprises and public sector organisations across Ireland to uncover and articulate the value of their work through thoughtful and effective impact measurement. By providing clarity on outcomes, we enable you to make informed decisions, enhance programmes, and communicate your achievements with confidence.
Using robust methodologies and a person-centred approach, our evaluations deliver meaningful insights that reflect the experiences and perspectives of those who matter most; your stakeholders.
Our commitment is to help you measure what truly matters, transforming data into a compelling narrative of change that resonates with funders, partners, and communities alike.
Building your framework
Some frameworks start with a full Theory of Change, mapping how your activities lead to change over time. Others start more simply, with a set of key outcomes agreed directly with your team. Indicators are then developed in workshops with your team and stakeholders, so they reflect both what your organisation can realistically track, and what actually matters to the people your work is for.
Gathering evidence
We take a mixed-methods approach to gathering evidence, combining desk research and documentary review with surveys, interviews, focus groups and case studies. Methods are chosen to suit the population you work with and the resources available, so that every design fits realistically within your team's capacity and your participants' time.
Practical outputs
Findings are presented in whatever format is most useful to you, whether that's a full evaluation report, a concise executive summary, or a presentation built for a board or steering group. Where programmes run over multiple years, we can track progress across several points in time, giving you an evolving picture of change rather than a single snapshot.
